However, their souls are given a chance to compete for a second shot at life in a bizarre, otherworldly purgatory, led by the mysterious fortune telling machine, Karnak. Each student shares their dreams, fears, and regrets through a series of eclectic musical numbers, confronting the complexities of adolescence and uncertainties of the afterlife.
